Time is running out and October 1, 2013 will be here sooner than you think.
ICD-10 is not just about the coding, but involves extensive preparation for medical practices, small to large.
It is important that every medical practice review their systems and processes, work with their vendors, and review documentation to evaluate whether it will support an ICD-10 code.  Even though practitioners are not paid based on the diagnosis code, medical necessity drives all procedures and services reported.  If not properly prepared after implementation your practice could realize productivity losses, reimbursement delays and claim denials.  Using an unspecified code will not be accepted by most insurance carriers in the future.  This session will cover key implementation steps and guidance in how to prepare for this massive change in code reporting.
