2024 KAFP Resident Scholarly Exhibit Posters
1st Place - Corey Morris, DO
Dr. Corey Morris is a native of Middle Tennessee. He completed his medical education at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM). He is a member of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY where he currently serves as a PGY-3 Chief Resident. He has the goal of specializing in outpatient rural family medicine and hopes to complete specialized training in wound care/hyperbaric medicine. 2nd Place - Anand Bankapur, MD
Dr. Anand Bankapur is a PGY-2 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital FM Residency Program. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. Driven by a passion for service, Dr. Bankapur is an Eagle Scout and member of the Alpha Phi Omega national service fraternity. Currently residing in Somerset, KY, he enjoys providing care to the Appalachian community and training full spectrum medicine at Lake Cumberland Hospital.
3rd Place - Mohammed Anwer, MD
Dr. Mohammed Anwer, born in Baghdad, Iraq, earned his medical degree from Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba and another degree, an M.B.B.S. from Taiz University School of Medicine in Yemen. Currently a third-year family medicine resident, he is interested in hospitalist positions and seeks higher acuity and more interesting cases in the hospital. Outside of his professional life, Mohammed enjoys playing soccer, cooking, spending time outdoors, and traveling internationally with his family and friends.
4th Place - Sarah Riley Parker, MD
Dr. Sarah Riley Parker grew up in Murray, Kentucky. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Louisville where she also attended medical school. Dr. Parker completed the University of Louisville’s rural medicine track in Madisonville, KY. Her medical interests include rural health and hospital medicine.
